This is not haute cuisine but a wonderful home cooked meal which is vary rare in pubs these days. Pub and decor quite dated. Service and interaction from the owners/ staff was great. Toilets need some attention, especially the damp smell. Would return if in need of a home cooked good feed :)
I am concerned that if I give the positive review that I want to, I will be unable to get a table when I want one. What a quandry! Best Sunday roast I have had outside of my own house. Quality, quantity and service and all within walking distance so we can have a drink too.
Amazing lunch, so much food & excellent quality. Best Sunday lunch we have had in a long time. I will never slave over a hot stove on a Sunday ever again.
Best Sunday dinner I have had for years! Perfectly cooked meat, excellent gravy, good selection of well cooked veg; and possibly the best roasties I have ever had. The old world interior creates a comfy home-like environment; making the meal even more enjoyable.
Very good service. Food was great. Lighting and decor and such was really nice. The fish and chips is good and they have a lot of options if you like ice cream.
