Amazing Sunday lunch with the family. The food was excellent, staff lovely and the service quick and efficient. A big plus for the roast was that there was plenty of gravy, and a generous amount of custard with the crumble. All four of us cleared our plates. I would definitely recommend, and would definitely come back.
Walked in last night,asked for a menu at 8 33pm,got told kitchen closes at 8 30pm. Not even offered a cold sandwich.. lovely

Hubby and l visited here last week. My husband said that it was reputedly the only roundabout in Europe big enough for a small village and a Pub.The Landlords and Locals were very friendly, it's dog friendly too.We had a lovely hot meal.Husband had the Shepherds Pie, and l had a Prawn Cocktail of King Prawns, followed by the Sausage and mash, and a dish of battered onions with garlic bread. A large dish of fresh vegetable of the day was served with the two meals. The Prawns were lovely, one of my favourite starters to be honest, and have them whenever they are on the menu. My husband enjoyed his Shepherds Pie, and my Sausage and mash with lovely thick gravy and fresh vegetables was lovely and tasty. There was plenty on our plates, reasonably priced and well worth it too. There was no room for dessert, although the menu for that looked inviting.We had passed this Pub on the lsland for many years. Staying just up the road for a long weekend gave us the chance to finally go and visit it. It was well worth it too. Thankyou Shepherd and Flock, We had a lovely relaxing evening there, then made our short walk back ti our hotel.
Having driven round the Shepherd and Flock so many times I cannot believe I had never visited the pub on the round about. Now I have and was pleasantly surprised. Inside was cosy, a separate dining area meant we felt like we were in our own dining room. The service was efficient and friendly and the food was great. Good sized portions and tasty.
