It was a nice venue for a party and the food was ok, but the bar service was the slowest I have ever encountered

We had an evening meal here. As the veggie choices were limited i asked if the chef could make a dish not featuring on the menu. He or she obliged and produced a very tasty meal. Great service and several choices of areas to dine, make this hotel a good choice for a meal or just to relax for a tea or coffee.
3rd time this year, never again, total shambles. Miserable staff most unable to communicate in English and not interested in the guests, bar left unattended with people waiting for drinks. Bills never correct on leaving. Decor needs a total make over.
Nice hotel and staff - intentionally old furnishings and decor within the hotel, but room itself felt old rather than intentionally dated decor.My radiator was off and window was open all night and room was still too warm and stuffy. Poor night's sleep due to central heating too high - drop the central heating a little and let guests use their radiator if they want more heat.
