Friendly and efficient firm with nice people. My requirement wasnt complicated but they were great, and sensibly priced.
Friendly family firm. Really helpful.
My husband and I needed new wills and as an employee of Phyliss Tuckwell we took advantage of their Make a Will Fortnight. Hadfields solicitors are part of this scheme. We happily paid 300 for our wills to be drawn up, which was donated to the hospice. Thats the positive from this.We dealt with Mary Wise, who upset me during our initial meeting by making an inappropriate comment about my late father. Our initial meeting with Mary was in September, we signed our wills last week( completed by her colleagues). It has been a painful experience that I dont want anyone else to go through. She didnt reply or acknowledge my emails after we sent her two small revisions. When I finally spoke to her on the phone I asked her why she hadnt replied to any of my emails, she didnt have an answer but acknowledged she had seen them.I arranged over the phone with her to sign our wills on Monday 19th February. My husband had taken time off work. When we arrived the lady on reception said Mary had gone out to another meeting and wouldnt be back. We later found out she had our names in her diary but had crossed them out and hadnt had the decency to let us know she wouldnt be there. Since then I havent heard anything from her, despite emailing her twice to find out about a small matter she is still sorting out for us. She hasnt apologised or tried to contact either myself or my husband. Her secretary is very helpful and is ensuring work we have paid for up front will be completed, then we can go else where. I have given them one star for her secretary and receptionist.I wish I had read previous reviews before we selected Mary Wise. I really wouldnt recommend her. It has been a stressful experience. I have let Phyliss Tuckwell know our experience.
Do not use as I tried to for your conveyancing needs. My buyer got 'cold feet' as this solicitor's took too long answering their questions and obtaining the required documents. The communication was terrible, I had to physically visit the offices to learn anything. I was not treated as a client, but rather a nuisance. A very stressful and upsetting experience could have been avoided had they done their job properly.
Terrible. My father inlaws will was with them. The lady solictor in question was an executor. As a family we decided to do probabte ourselves.I contacted the firm 15 plus phone calls and left messages over a 4 week period to discuss how to do this. She never bothered contacting us until we were so upset we went in.This lead to her arguing with my husband. We had just buried our father we were looking for help and advice about the will she held.Reception staff tried their best.We did end up seeing another solicitor there as the reception staff went and got him as they knew how we needed help and had rang and come in do many times. He himself was not to do with wills But he was very helpful and gave us some good advice. We knew then after all this we had to remove the will from her and take her off as executive as if this was what it was like at the beginning we had no chance.I myself did probate in under 6 weeks very easily .We made the right descision. We will never go back there.
