Great from start to finish. Friendly, helpful & knowledgeable solicitor (Wills & power of attorney required), all completed in a timely manner and at a fair price. Didn't even mind when I asked to change something part way through. Highly recommended
***Caveat Emptor*** or better, go elsewhere. My solicitor was totally reactive from the outset, had to be chased on numerous occasions and when I requested that he send me my estranged husbands P60 months after it was issued, not only did he not have it but neither had he bothered to request it on any occasion! Given my situation, it was of paramount importance, yet the incompetence was evident even at the most basic level, a P60! This was exacerbated by the catalogue of misdemeanours (although I wouldnt quite describe them as minor). This was obviously picked up on by my barrister who described that with the level of preparation for the FDR, we would have been eaten alive had the courts not cancelled at the 11th hour. I raised this with my solicitor who chose not to respond to my emails concerning this. I also highlighted at the complaint stage, but in fact, their response alluded to me lying! I raised my concerns with The Practice Manager and instigated a formal complaint, yet even this was met with total procrastination as I had to repeatedly chase. The partners eventually involved in the investigation unsurprisingly concluded that there was .....no compelling evidence to indicate that we have fallen short..... and also responded with the typical doze of defensiveness in that nobody had ever complained about him before - all of his c. 2 years with Bells! This was irrelevant whether true or not. Despite the catalogue of incidents which in any other professional environment would have pointed at incompetence at the very least, they chose to absolve themselves from any blame which is what happens with internal investigations.Thousands spent needlessly as I could be at the point I am today self-representing. Ridiculous! No doubt theyll reply with an another equally defensive response. I wouldnt recommend and only awarded 1 star because zero wasnt an option! Theyve had thousands from me and insinuate that Im a liar! Thats Bells!
Thoroughly impressed with how quickly and professionally they were able to deal with an emergency query after another solicitor who I actually had an appointment with completely wasted my time.Quick, efficient, friendly, level headed, no nonsense solicitors.I highly recommend this solicitor to anyone who needs one.
Made our house buying experience extremely stressful due to their inability to:1) Respond in a timely manner to queries2)Co-ordinate between their own departments3) PlanIf it weren't for our own solicitors and the estate agents I don't think we would ever have completed.
Dermot Burke helped me to respond to a distressing Will dispute. He is a good listener, courteous, very astute and proactive. He is logical and does not waste time on irrelevant issues. He is very competent and well practised in Law. I recommend Bells.
