As a family we've now bought 3 cars from Hawthorns so they must be doing something right! Both James and Jason are always so helpful and really knowledgeable about their cars. When I bought a Discovery 3 from them with a built-in DVD player I didn't expect it to come with the original headphones - but the original owner dropped them in to Hawthorns and a couple of days later they were hand delivered to me at work by James! Can't recommend highly enough.
I recently purchased a BMW Z3 from Hawthorns having travelled a long distance to find this car. The experience proved to be excellent and the transaction very smooth and professional. Do not buy a car from hawthorns. Bought a jaguar xf which James told me was all original paintwork which it is not. Car has had loads of bodywork done to it. Lesson learnt not to buy a car without viewing it and not to trust any car salesman!
Jonathan and the Hawthorns team have worked on my Porsche 911 a number of times including oil and brake fluid changes and changing brake pads. I have always found them really helpful, cheerful and good value for money for the quality service. They know how to look after top end cars properly and they are always happy to provide advice from their many years of experience. Being right by the station also means that drop off and pick up is convenient.
I called them around 6pm one Friday evening - as they were about to close - to ask about the car I was interested in and they were very helpful and not trying to get me off the phone so they could go home. I drove over there on Saturday morning arriving at 8. A gentleman gave me the keys and kindly offered me drink. After an unhurried look around the car another man came over giving me some history on the car as they had previously sold it 5 years before. We went out for a test drive and when we arrived back, a mass of associated history including old MOts, service invoices, tax discs all the original manuals and service book was presented on the desk. I arranged to collect the following Saturday so the MOT could be done. It passed and the advisories - front tyres worn slightly - were replaced (which I did not expect). Great place to buy and see some fabulous cars.
