Wonderful Town, full of character
Very good service from the station sales & information staff. Very helpful printed my journey timetable, gave advice on off peak trains and total time of 1h 45min so I could plan my day. Also provided a leaflet on how to obtain a travelcard for the over 60 yr old. Friendly cafe inside the station.
Your average train station. Nothing special.
The station is OK for the most part but be warned than the only means of step free access between the two platforms is via the level crossing. To add, there is no ticket machine on platform 2 forcing passengers to scrabble to the other side and then waiting room on platform 2 is locked out of use. Very annoying indeed.
